Penwood is an Amish custom cabinet shop based in the heart of Ohio’s woodworking community.
We’ve been serving contractors, designers, and design-build firms as a wholesale partner throughout the United States since 1999, building and delivering custom cabinetry and architectural millwork that is designed to perform beautifully for decades.

Stain is first sprayed on, then hand-rubbed with cloth to carry the color into every corner and molding detail, and to keep the tone even across the grain. After rubbing, we lightly spray additional stain where needed to fill in lighter spots and reduce natural variation from piece to piece.
The premium conversion paint or clear finish is applied with a handheld sprayer to coat detailed profiles evenly. This approach combines efficiency with careful workmanship - creating depth, consistent color, and a warm surface you can see and feel.
